MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION PROGRAM
Thank you for your interest in MT Support Services, Inc. MT Support Services, Inc. provides a comprehensive guided study training program for individuals seeking careers as Medical Transcriptionists. Our guided study program allows students to study at home. Our guided study program prepares you to work in a clinic, hospital or to eventually work at home as a medical transcriptionist. Assignments may be turned-in by mail, fax, or sent electronically. Your progress is closely monitored by an instructor throughout the program.
Medical Transcriptionists are medical language specialists that transcribe recorded speech into hardcopy or electronic documentation. You will study medical transcription and typing, terminology, anatomy, and physiology in our program. You will also transcribe a wide variety of documents using the HPI SUM tapes or CD system. Students transcribe the following reports: Pharmacology/Laboratory Medicine; Dermatology; Urology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedics; Cardiology; Endocrinology/Pulmonary Medicine; Obstetrics & Gynecology; Ears, Nose, Throat/Ophthalmology; and Neurology. This actual physician dictation is part of our comprehensive program and is arranged by body systems and is sequenced from simple to complex.
Upon successful completion of this program you will receive a Diploma from MT Support Services, Inc. and a Certificate for 12 CEU units from the College of Continuing Education at Hampton University.
In order to complete the Medical Transcription Program, you must complete the following courses: MED 100 - Medical Typing and Transcription, MED 125 - Medical Terminology and MED 135 - Medical Transcription.
Our program is different from the many programs that are currently being offered. You receive one-on-one help throughout the program. You can have questions answered by telephone, on-line or by fax. We are always here to help you.
